I have become a bit of a tower monkey over the past few days, perfecting my assent and decent to something looking professional if not elegant.
Hanging wallpaper using the tower did present a new set of challenges. The wallpaper I used was a heavyweight vinyl, from Graham and Brown. This paper is really hard wearing and will wipe clean so great for heavy duty areas like stairways. At just less than 5 metres per drop this was not a job for the faint hearted.
The secret to successful paper hanging is consistency, applying the same amount of wallpaper paste on each piece, allowing the same soaking time, working the paper the same way when applying it to the wall.
I love hanging wallpaper but I have to admit I was relieved when this particular workout was over.
The finished result is pretty impressive. The pattern takes full advantage of the height of the stairway and the colour (mocha) adds warmth to the space. One very happy customer!
