Following on from our blog about Laura’s latest qualification as a tiler, we’d like to take a moment to talk about the products which have transformed our Juniper-ash kitchen; from drab to fab in just a few simple stages.
Tiling is and has always classically been a very “in” home decorating trend for kitchens; alongside the practicality of a tiled kitchen there is a real opportunity to express yourself in both the colours you use and the patterned application of the tiles.
With all the warm weather and long summer nights creating the perfect excuse for a barbeque this season it’s not hard to see why kitchens are the hearts of our homes, and we wanted to make a feature out of ours.
For our revamp we shopped at Walls & Floors, a company previously recommended to us for their wide selection and professional quality. We chose a contrasting combination of “Elephant & Castle Grey” and “Golders Green” tiles from the 200 x 100mm metro tile range (also available in 150 x 75mm). The metro tiles not only pay homage in their style but also feature a wide range of colours all inspired by the London underground, as you can see the Juniper-ash team have been inspired by the northern line with both the Elephant and Castle and Golders Green stations featuring on our walls.
So delighted were we by the finished product on the wall that we approached Walls & Floors with both our thanks and intentions to blog about our experience using their products, Callum Chester, Head of PR at Walls and Floors was nice enough to give us a quote regarding the well-stocked metro range:
“A prominent trend in the world of interior design, Metro Tiles offers a sleek and contemporary addition to any wall space. The structured bevelled edges are ideal for adding definition to your bathroom and kitchen walls. Walls and Floors have the widest range of Metro Tile colours available anywhere in the UK”
Here at Juniper-ash Decorating we couldn’t be more delighted with the finished effect, it’s smooth, it’s sleek, it’s professional – and our very own Laura helped to tackle the tiles, having become a qualified tiller in May 2014 it was her first large scale project and she’s done an excellent job, just look at our gorgeous kitchen which speaks for itself.
